The winning bidder will be purchasing the turbines, interest in the land easement, and will get assigned Power Purchase Agreement combined with all future income generated by the 13 HZ wind turbines. In addition, there are nearly $479,000 of tax credits available for the 7 tax eligible wind turbines and when some of the turbines come back online or repaired, there may be additional incentives available. The portfolio of wind turbines each have a rated capacity of 2 MW and a hub height of 80 meters with rotor diameters ranging from 93 to 111 meters, and total tower heights of 126.50 to 135.60 meters. Two of the 13 wind turbines came online in 2012, whereas the remaining 11 turbines came online in 2017. The Power Purchase Agreements are through CIPCO for the 2 wind turbines located in Story County and the remaining 11 wind turbines have a Power Purchase Agreement through Interstate Power and Light Company, an affiliate of Alliant Energy (collectively “Alliant Energy”). visit our website for more information regarding the Sealed Bid Auction!
